Our Monthly Photo Competition: Hacks To Help You Win

By Jonathan 17 February 2025

Did you know you could win up to £500*? Every month, we run a competition where our customers share a photo of their Get Laid Bed in situ, and the public votes for the winner! We love seeing your entries, and in this blog, we’ll share our top tips for capturing the perfect shot.

We Recommend Good Lighting

Good Lighting

Good lighting makes a huge difference to your photo. Turn on the lights or open the curtains to brighten your bedroom space. Natural light from a window will work best for a soft, natural look. A simple change like this can make your photo clearer and brighter.

Show Off The Whole Bed!

Full View Of Bed Frame

Your new bed frame should take centre stage! To best capture your bed frame, stand at the foot or side to capture its entire structure, ensuring all key details are visible. We recommend taking your photo from a slightly elevated angle to help showcase all the details. If space allows, step back to fit the entire frame in the shot.

Keep The Resolution High

High Resolution

Detail is key! Set your phone or camera to the highest resolution possible to capture a crisp, sharp image. When submitting your photo, choose "original quality" or the highest available setting to maintain clarity and detail. Avoid compressing or resizing your image before sending, as this can reduce quality. We will happily do any cropping required for you.

Dressing Is Key

Dress Your Bed

A well made bed makes all the difference in capturing a winning shot for our competition. Start by smoothing out any wrinkles and fluffing your bedding for a crisp, inviting look. You could even layer up with pillows and throws to add a cosy, styled touch.

Share, Share Share

Once your entry is live (on our Facebook page) it’s time to share it with your friends and family so all your hard work pays off! Remember, the entry with the most likes & shares wins.
